Drybar - Old Town Alexandria

Incredibly disappointing. I went to get my hair dry styled for an event that same day. It was my first ever salon straightening. I have curly hair. The dry style lasted 5 minutes; I was told it would last "several days." I had communicated with the staff that I was a first timer. No one warned me that the humidity would instantly ruin my hair. Nothing was done to make sure my style lasted for 24 hours, let alone 5 minutes! I will never utilize this business in the future. They tried to make it right by giving me a free dry style, but I will not be using it. I am still requesting a refund for a total waste of my time and money. Extremely frustrating experience.

At this location every staff member was extremely nice, professional, and clearly worked as a team. I was a little apprehensive about the entire experience since I have 4c hair, but my blowout came out better than expected and it was done by a non-black person. All the hair stylists regardless of ethnicity seem to have a foundational understanding of diverse hair types which is refreshing. It would have been nice to know which products were being used in my hair and why- maybe explain at least a few to the customer- but otherwise great experience. Will return.

Frederick is a genius! His skill is unparalleled as is his kindness, professionalism, and customer care especially with needing handicapped accommodations. I have natural hair and it takes a gifted stylist to do a proper blow out that is sleek and keeps the hair healthy.

My experience here was wonderful! Vonnie was exceptional and I will use her anytime that I am in town. I loved how throughly she washed and conditioned my hair and this picture says it all! I loved it!

First time there…Amber was just wonderful. My hair was gorgeous for our black tie event that evening. It held up beautifully even though I had it done at 11am. She had great ideas for my eye makeup and helped me pick my final dress. I’ll definitely come back to her
